jar with peanut butter on table

You want me to eat what?

Spackle! No, not the stuff you lather on drywall. Spackle is a delicious and nutritious snack prepared by some of the most avid and ultralight backpackers. When you need energy and a calorie-dense snack to keep your going, reach for your homemade spackle.

The recipe is so fast, easy and 100% plant-based!

Pinch of Himalayan pink salt
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon of vanilla
2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
6 tablespoons raw honey
1/2 cup unsalted cashew butter
1/2 cup unsalted almond butter

Mix on low for 45-60 seconds until well combined.
Store in a lightweight container (preferably squeezable!)

Makes about 8 servings.

I have seen soooo many versions of this recipe online! I’m not sure the original source, but I appreciate all of the bloggers over the years for sharing their great ideas. I made a few tweaks to the recipe, and I hope you do too!
