The End of the World as We Know It

Global pandemic aside, I thrived in 2020. I celebrated my 20-year anniversary in IT, and then I left my very “safe” Senior Developer position and daydreamed of saying goodbye to Corporate America forever. In 2020, we all had a get used to a new normal, and I was determined my new normal was working remotely.

Onward and Upward

Today, I wear many hats, and all of them remotely!

When the pandemic hit and I was stuck in a studio apartment alone, I thought I would die of boredom before COVID took me out, so I did what many developers do when they’re antsy: I bought a bunch of domain names. And then I got a LinkTree account to organize it all.

I am the Staff Writer at Hill Tree Roastery. Seriously, if you love coffee as much as you love West Virginia, check out his small-batch roastery located in Huntington, WV. I also have a small but wonderful handful of clients in and out of the state.

Remote Work – Update 2022: I am no longer taking on new clients 🙂

If you’re a WV-based business, farm, campground, or any other kind of fun spot, I have some skills I’ll trade for room and board for a few days (or pay – see my rates here). Drop me a line to let me know what I can do to help  Whether it’s your website, database application, graphics, or animation, I’ve got you covered!

And don’t worry if you don’t have accommodations available, I am fully remote capable and I am converting my Highlander so I can even sleep in my car.

Hope to see you on the road!

Another Update – I got busy and COVID got me but I’m going to try to do more in 2022 and 2023 🙂
