The End of the World as We Know It

Global pandemic aside, I thrived in 2020. I celebrated my 20 year anniversary in IT, and then I left my very “safe” Senior Developer position and daydreamed of saying goodbye to Corporate America forever – weird way to celebrate, right? In 2020, we all had a get used to a new normal, and my new normal was working remotely.

Onward and Upward

Today, I wear many hats, and all of them remotely! I am the Staff Writer at Hill Tree Roastery. Seriously, if you love coffee as much as you love West Virginia, check out his small-batch roastery located in Huntington, WV. I also have a handful of wonderful programming, graphics, and animation clients. My personal projects include a blog on healthy lifestyle changes to control inflammation called Pain-Free Journey, a collaborative project coming later this year called WV Weird where we will showcase some of the WV oddities we all know and love like the Mothman, Flatwoods Monster and more,  and this little travel blog adventure, Wild and Wanderin’.

Remote Work

I will reach out to local businesses, farms, campgrounds, parks, and other fun spots along my travels to offer my tech skills in exchange for room and board for a few days (or pay – see my rates here). So, if you have found yourself saying “I wish I knew a developer”, “I need help with my social media”, or “I wish I had access to a photographer or videographer on location for a few days”, then drop me a line to let me know what I can do to help you, your business, and your online presence. Whether it’s your website, social media, or online review on websites like Yelp! or Google, I’ve got you covered!

And don’t worry if you don’t have accommodations available, I am fully remote capable and have converted my SUV into a camper so I can even sleep in my car.

Hope to see you on the road!
